Cellulite Machines and Treatments - What's Available

Treating cellulite is getting high tech with a wide offering of new cellulite machines and technologies. Discover how technology can help you get smoother skin!

Cellulite machines and cellulite lotions are popular and offer excellent results. This article will look at three of the most popular cellulite treatments using machines. The three cellulite treatments using machines that we will look at are: Laser treatment, Radio Frequency and Infrared Massage and Deep Mechanical Massage, also known as Endermologie.

Laser Treatment: One of the most effective treatments to combat cellulite and its’ effects is Laser treatment. The laser is used to loosen the fat that is under the skin. The fat is then sucked out via a small vacuum tube inserted underneath the skin. These machines are operated by and these procedures are done by a qualified surgeon. The results of this procedure, using the laser machine for treating cellulite, are extremely effective. It is also fairly painless.

Radio Frequency and Infra-Red Massage: This is another popular and relatively painless method for removing cellulite. It is similar to laser treatment except that infra-red light is used to attack the area of fat involved. The infra-red light breaks up or “melts” the fat and it is then removed using a suction tube inserted beneath the skin.

Because the underlying causes of cellulite remain after these procedures, the treatments should be done in combination with proper diet and exercise. This is a lifelong commitment and will benefit the body in more ways than just removal of cellulite. A high fiber, low fat diet will contribute to a healthy heart, skin, endocrine and muscle systems.

Deep Mechanical Massage: Also known as Endermologie treatment, this popular cellulite treatment involves the use of a massaging “cellulite machine.” This cellulite machine uses a small motor to provide continuous massage to the cellulite affected areas. The skin is constantly being lifted and massaged with this machine. This action tones the skin helping to reduce the effect and appearance of the cellulite.

Endermologie: defined as the use of a machine to massage areas of the body affected by cellulite, Endermologie was developed in France. It has been used for the treatment of cellulite since the mid-1990’s. This technique uses an electrically powered machine that suctions, pulls and squeezes the areas of the skin affected by cellulite. These treatments with this cellulite machine can be expensive. Sessions last from 30 to 45 minutes and ten to twelve treatments are usually needed before results are noticeable. Endermologie is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the reduction and treatment of cellulite.

The rate of success of these treatments using cellulite machines depends largely on the condition of the skin itself and the severity of the cellulite. As always, consult your family physician for recommendations and referral to a certified specialist in the use of these cellulite reduction procedures. If your cellulite is sever and more conventional methods have yielded little or no results, then these treatments might be an acceptable option for you. Be aware, these procedures are expensive and a healthy diet and exercise will still be needed to support their results.
