Exercise to rid cellulite from your body does not have to be extremely difficult or time consuming. When we exercise, we break down the muscle fibers. The process of reforming the muscle tissue takes time and energy. It is important to work your muscles hard during exercise, but to also give your body a chance to rest and heal. For starters, a toned muscle burns more calories throughout the day than our body fat. By toning your muscles, you will burn calories much longer than those who are sedentary. Secondly, a toned muscle appears smooth and firm under the skin. Toned muscles give the fat cells a smooth place to rest upon. This can help reduce the appearance of cellulite especially in areas such as the hips and thighs where there are large muscles. So what types of exercise should you be doing to counteract cellulite? Most people will need some sort of cardio a few days a week. Cardio raises your heart rate and helps the body burn fat. It doesn’t need to be a long amount of time, but you should work your body hard. Most people start to notice results from cardio within a few days. Types of cardio you might enjoy include any kind of sport that gets your heart rate moving: swimming, running, tennis, volleyball, hockey, basketball, football and soccer to name a few. You can also try different forms of cardio that don’t necessarily involve a team or other people to participate. Thest include dance aerobics, power yoga, and spinning. Also, you need to incorporate some type of strength training into your routine. You do not need to spend hours in the gym. Exercise to rid cellulite should involve a half hour a few times a week with different exercises. Try things such as squats, dips, push ups and planks. You can use weights, weight machines or your own body resistence. Personally, I find dance aerobics to be the best exercise to rid cellulite from my body. Dancing tones so many different muscles all at once. However, it is important to find something that works well for you.
