Plies work the thigh muscles as well the core muscles. Tendu – a tendu is a great way to tone the legs as it requires the leg muscles to tighten and gentaly move at the same time. In tendu, the foot is pointed and slides on the floor in front of you. The foot should always be pointed in a tendu as this will work the muscles. Degage - a degage is very similar to the tendu, only the foot lifts slightly off the floor. These movements may not sound challenging at first, but done in repetition, they can be quite challenging for the muscles.
