Ionithermie for Cellulite Control

You may have heard of ionithermie for cellulite control. But what exactly does this procedure involve? Read on to find out!

Ionithermie for cellulite control? For many women no matter how many diet programs we try or what kind of food we eat or exercise we do, cellulite is a fact-of-life for many of us. Recently, some women have been turning to a procedure called Ionithermie for cellulite control. Note that this procedure is not for cellulite removal, and on the contrary it is for the nonmedical control of cellulite. There is no cutting, anesthesia, or out-patient procedures to endure. It is different than anything you may have tried before and the best thing is that results are so fast you will be amazed!

The orange peel look of skin affected with cellulite can be embarrassing. By using Ionithermie for cellulite control you can gain the confidence that comes with great skin. In this procedure there are two types of stimulation that is used on cellulite areas: Faradic and Galvanic stimulation.

Faradic stimulation involves four main classes: transcutaneous which is on the skin via electrode, percutaneous which is on the skin through a needle or wire into the muscle belly, subcutaneous via peripheral root nerves and finally subcutaneous via the spinal root nerves.

Galvanic stimulation is widely used for wound healing, edema, and as a source of pain relief for certain muscle disorders. These two types of stimulation are what make up Ionithermie treatments.

Done as a spa treatment, Ionithermie is great for the control and elimination of cellulite. It was invented over a century ago by a French biochemist and is being used all over Europe and the United States. Although it has yet to be FDA approved, this hasn’t deterred the popularity of this treatment in the United States.

Ionithermie is categorized as a cosmetic procedure and therefore involves no cutting, no stitches or sutures, no recovery time. Often people notice results in the first treatment. You can rest assured that your therapist must be licensed to perform Ionithermie. Any worries you have about the treatments can be allayed by having a list of questions to take with you at your consultation prior to treatment.

The machine used to perform Ionithermie treatments is a small handheld device which uses varying degrees of electrical currents to stimulate the skin through a layer of aromatic clay. The clay is made from various ingredients such as organic vegetable extracts, guarana, seaweed and various other organic compounds. The pads are placed on the clay and a current or “shock” is administered to the skin. The current passes through the clay and thus the skin absorbs the nutrients in the clay. The Galvanic current pushes the nutrients into the skin and the Faradic current stimulates the muscles, skin and tissues.

The ingredients then are absorbed into the skin and the cells begin to detoxify, thus stimulating blood flow and lymphatic circulations to kick into action. All the ingredients in the clay enter the skin through the epidermal layer; adipose tissue is broken up and flushed from the body. The main areas that people seek treatment for are the buttocks, hips, thighs, legs, arms and bust line. One treatment can remove many inches of fat and improve skin appearance and circulation.

The primary advantage of Ionithermie for cellulite control is the detoxification benefits and loss of inches. One treatment can result in a loss of up to 8 inches or more, although average loss is around 4.5 inches total for one treatment. The average treatment lasts 30 minutes, and the number of treatments depends on the level and intensity of concentrated cellulite that compromises the areas to be treated. Many people report not only the improvement of appearance, elasticity and smoothness in the skin, but an improved feeling of well-being as well.

So if you no longer want to deal with the ugliness of cellulite over your body then this may be just what you’ve been looking for! Ionithermie for cellulite control programs are a serious consideration if you seek to improve your skin through nonsurgical methods.
