Choose foods that are high in antioxidants such as deeply pigmented fruits and veggies. By eating a diet rich in these foods you will be feeding your skin exactly what it needs to combat cellulite.

Blueberries, cherries, blackberries, citrus, cauliflower, and broccoli are all great choices for your low fat diet. These foods also combat free radicals, the molecules that are linked to cancer and premature aging.

Avoid sugar as much as you can. It contains empty calories that you don’t need. Sugar also interferes with the body’s ability to metabolize vitamin C. Vitamin C is crucial in the formation of collagen and elastin, two important components in reducing cellulite. Focus on whole grains, fruits and veggies-fill your refrigerator and pantry with these types of foods. Go organic when you can and stay away from processed and refined foods. Processed and refined foods tend to cause toxins in the body. And toxins are another culprit in the formation of cellulite.

Please remember that not all fats are bad. There are some essential fatty acids that our bodies must have to function properly. These good fats are important in your low fat diet and will work together to reduce cellulite. Salmon and walnuts are excellent sources of Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 works to help reduce cellulite in several different ways including stimulation of the hormone in our bodies that regulates food intake, body weight and metabolism. Supple skin, healthy nails and hair are all linked to Omega 3 fats.

Changing your diet to reduce cellulite is a major lifestyle change. It takes commitment and real desire to make such a change in our daily lives. But the benefits will be long lasting. Not only will the appearance of cellulite begin to diminish, but the overall appearance of your skin will improve. A well balanced, low fat diet will do the work inside your body that will cause the changes on the outside of your body.
